Our Territory
Our service area spans the transition from the Blue Ridge foothills into the North Carolina piedmont — two geologically and geographically distinct regions that demand different knowledge, different technique, and different equipment setups.
In the foothills and mountain counties — Caldwell, Burke, Watauga, Ashe, Wilkes — you're dealing with steep terrain, rocky subsoil, dense clay, and the erosion challenges that come with high elevation and heavy rainfall. In the piedmont counties — Catawba, Alexander, Iredell, Lincoln, Gaston, Mecklenburg — the grades flatten out but the red clay, granite shelf, and drainage demands create their own set of challenges.
We grew up on the foothill side of that line and we've spent years building relationships and experience on the piedmont side. We don't treat either region as unfamiliar territory — because neither one is.

Where We Work
Lenoir, Granite Falls, Hudson, Sawmills, Cajah's Mountain
Rocky hillside clay, steep grades, mature hardwood timber lots. Our home county — we know every ridge and hollow.
Morganton, Valdese, Drexel, Glen Alpine, Connelly Springs
Mixed slope terrain with rocky subsoil transitioning toward the piedmont. Strong demand for residential site prep near Morganton.
Boone, Blowing Rock, Vilas, Valle Crucis, Sugar Grove
High elevation, steep mountain grades, heavy seasonal rainfall. Erosion control and drainage are critical on every job up here.
Jefferson, West Jefferson, Lansing, Creston, Warrensville
Highland pasture and timber lots with thin soils and frost heave conditions. Short build seasons require efficient execution.
Wilkesboro, North Wilkesboro, Ronda, Roaring River, Moravian Falls
Variable terrain from Yadkin River bottomland to ridgeline lots. Both residential and agricultural grading work throughout.
Hickory, Newton, Conover, Claremont, Maiden, Sherrills Ford
Classic piedmont red clay — drainage-heavy work on flat lots. High residential construction volume and active commercial development.
Taylorsville, Hiddenite, Stony Point, Millersville
Piedmont granite shelf with significant root structure from mature hardwoods. Careful subgrade assessment before every build.
Statesville, Mooresville, Troutman, Harmony, Cleveland
Transitional piedmont with sandy loam over clay subsoil. One of the fastest-growing residential markets in our service area.
Lincolnton, Denver, Iron Station, Maiden
Rolling piedmont terrain with strong residential development activity. Good access and manageable grades on most lots.
Gastonia, Belmont, Mount Holly, Cramerton, Lowell
Urban-edge piedmont with active infill and new development. Tight site work and precise grading required on smaller lots.
Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Matthews
High-demand piedmont market. We take select commercial and larger residential projects here where our local expertise adds real value.
Outside Our Area?
If your property is just outside our listed counties, call us anyway. We take select projects beyond our primary service area for the right job — particularly larger commercial site prep, pond construction, and long-term contractor relationships that make the drive worthwhile.
The quickest way to find out is to just give us a call. We'll tell you straight whether we can help or whether you'd be better served by someone closer to you.
